Does screen projection have relationship with routers?

Does screen projection have anything to do with routers? Leaving aside this question, let’s talk about what are the requirements for wireless screen projection?

  1. The sending end and the receiving end are on the same LAN;
  2. The transmitter and receiver support an arbitrary screen projection protocol, Miracast, Airplay, DLNA… If the receiving side or the sending side does not support the screen projection we can choose to use the screen projection or the screen projection software to assist the screen projection.

The above two conditions are necessary for wireless screen projection, one of which is indispensable.

Therefore, we conclude that the router’s assistance to the wireless screen projection is only the condition that the screen projection needs to be on the same LAN (sender and receiver). So it’s better if we have a router, if we don’t have a router, we can still cast the screen wirelessly.
