What are the problems with the Miracast screen?

Today I am going to introduce some problems in miracast screen, such as missing screen, black screen, delayed screen, broken connection and so on.

Principle of miracast projection screen

The point-to-point Wi-Fidirect standard is adopted in Miracast. It allows sending up to 1080P hd video (H.264 codec) and 5.1 surround sound (AAC and AC3 are optional codecs and the mandatory codecs are linear pulse codecs – 16-bit 48kHz2 channels). The connection is created through WPS, so WPA2 is used for protection. IPv4 is used for the Internet layer. At the transport layer, TCP or UDP is used. At the application layer, the RTSP, RTP initiates and controls the flow for data transfer.

Problems with the Miracast screen

The Android phone maker’s name MiracastSource is not standardized. When users use it, they don’t know where to find it.

When using MiracastSINK, both TV set-top boxes and smart TVS basically need to switch WIFI mode, such as cutting off WIFI link or hotspot mode to increase the user’s learning and use cost.

At present, the compatibility of MiracastSINK is relatively poor, which is manifested in the failure of mobile phone connection/a long time of mobile phone connection and so on.

The stability of existing MiracastSINK is relatively poor, which is shown as follows: after repeated use, the screen projection device no longer connects/breaks after a long time of connection, etc.

The present experience of MiracastSINK is yet to be optimized, as shown in: audio and video can get stuck or Mosaic/image is unclear/image has a large delay.

How to solve the problem of Miracast screen

If I said I could get a hand on miracast, it would be impossible and would make no sense to the user. All users need is a stable, smooth and convenient wireless screen projection. Therefore, AWIND insists on developing a wireless projector compatible with Miracast screen, Airplay screen image and DLNA screen based on LINUX architecture, which is a professional solution to the wireless screen projection problem.
